A Note from Paul

Last week, we introduced The PIO Calendar Assistant (Beta), a new tool designed to make it easier for PIOs and communicators to find the training and professional development opportunities they’re looking for. It’s still a work in progress, and we continue making updates behind the scenes to improve functionality and the overall user experience.

Later this week, we’ll announce new feedback tools designed to help us better understand what’s working, what can be improved, and how we can continue building a better resource for the PIO community. We’re also getting closer to releasing The PIO Calendar Jobs Network (Beta) to help connect communicators with new career opportunities, something a number of you have asked for.

The PIO Calendar continues to grow beyond events. Today, you can find training, conferences, networking opportunities, associations, organizations, and resources. Soon, you’ll also be able to explore jobs and career opportunities, all in one place built for PIOs and communicators.

This week’s PIO Calendar digest highlights what is new, what is drawing attention, and what deserves a closer look. Use it as a quick planning tool for upcoming professional development and a simple scan of where the field appears to be focusing right now.
