June marked a significant milestone for The PIO Calendar.
More public information officers, communicators, emergency managers, instructors, and organizations used The PIO Calendar in June than during any previous month since the platform launched earlier this year. More importantly, June demonstrated that the public information community continues to embrace a single, centralized place to discover and share professional development opportunities.
June by the Numbers
June 2026 set several new records for The PIO Calendar:
- 2,036 unique visitors — the highest monthly total to date.
- 3,934 page views — a new monthly record.
- 60 new events added in a single week — the largest weekly increase since launch.
- Google Search became the platform’s top referral source, reflecting increased visibility and helping more professionals discover training opportunities organically.
These milestones represent more than website statistics. They represent thousands of professionals investing in their development, organizations choosing to share their events with the community, and instructors reaching broader audiences than ever before.
Today, The PIO Calendar features hundreds of upcoming conferences, webinars, classroom courses, virtual trainings, and other professional development opportunities from organizations across the United States and beyond. The platform remains completely free to search, browse, and submit events.
While these milestones are encouraging, they’re not the finish line—they’re another step toward building the profession’s most comprehensive resource for public information and communications training.
To every organization that has submitted an event, every instructor who has promoted a course, and every professional who has visited the site, subscribed to the Weekly Digest, or shared The PIO Calendar with a colleague: thank you.
This growth belongs to the community.
As we begin July, our focus remains the same: continue expanding the calendar, improving the platform, and making it easier for public information officers and communicators to find the training and professional development opportunities they need to succeed.
The best is yet to come.
