Utah PIO Association Quarterly Session – Rocky Mountain Power & Wildfire Threats

Details: This session will explore how Rocky Mountain Power (PacifiCorp) is preparing for and responding to the growing wildfire threat across Utah and the region. Attendees will gain insight into real-world strategies for communicating with both the public and internal teams during high-risk situations, as well as how the utility is strengthening partnerships with local agencies to improve coordination and response.
The presentation will also cover key topics, including Public Safety Power Shutoffs (PSPS), what they are, how they’re implemented, and what they mean for residents.
This is a valuable opportunity to hear directly from industry partners, better understand the role utilities play in wildfire mitigation, and walk away with practical communication strategies you can apply in your own organization and communities.
