Overview
Central Ohio Public Information Network is a regional organization of trained Public Information Officers and communication professionals who support emergency preparedness and emergency response across Central Ohio. COPIN provides agencies with reliable crisis communication assistance, media support, and public information coordination during disasters, major incidents, and public safety emergencies. Our members work directly with first responders and emergency managers to deliver accurate information to the public, strengthen community resilience, and help agencies communicate clearly during high stress situations. COPIN’s mission is to ensure Central Ohio has the communication resources it needs to respond effectively and keep communities informed and safe.
