The PIO Calendar has reached a major milestone: more than 500 training opportunities, conferences, webinars, and networking events have been listed since the platform launched in February 2026.
The milestone highlights the continued need for one centralized location where public information officers, government communicators, emergency managers, and public relations professionals can discover opportunities to learn, grow, and connect.
Bringing Professional Development Opportunities Together
Before The PIO Calendar, finding PIO-related training often meant searching across multiple websites, agencies, organizations, and social media pages.
Valuable opportunities existed, but they were not always easy to find.
The PIO Calendar was created to help solve that challenge by bringing those opportunities together into one searchable resource.
Since launch, the calendar has included:

- More than 60 conferences
- Dozens of webinars
- Networking and professional development events
Opportunities listed on the calendar have supported communicators across nearly every state and multiple countries, reflecting the broad need for accessible professional development resources.
