Weekly PIO Calendar Digest: August 24, 2026

A Note from Paul

Greetings from Clearwater, Florida! I’m here for the NIOA Annual Training Conference—an outstanding opportunity to learn, exchange ideas, reconnect with longtime friends, and make new ones. If you’re attending, please come over and say hello. I’d love to hear what’s happening in your community and learn how The PIO Calendar can better support you.

The PIO Calendar continues to grow, with more than 300 upcoming events currently listed. That means hundreds of opportunities for public information officers and communicators to explore new ideas, sharpen their skills, build meaningful relationships, and stay connected with colleagues across the profession.

We’ve also added a couple of new features to the Weekly Digest. We’ll now highlight organizations and associations as they’re added to The PIO Calendar, along with new resources for the PIO community. Be sure to give these new sections a look—and let me know about any organizations or helpful resources we should add.

Whether you’re looking for a national conference, regional training, webinar, workshop, professional organization, or useful resource, I hope you’ll take a few minutes to explore what’s new and discover something that helps you grow.

Have a great week, and I hope to see many of you in Clearwater!
