The workshop is designed to help emergency managers involved in issuing alerts to improve the speed\, reach and effectiveness of public alerts and warnings. \n\n\n\n\nDates: May 12 and May 13\, 11 am – 4 pm ET (8 am – 1 pm PT/ 10 am – 3 pm CT) \nAudience: FIFA World Cup 2026 hosting jurisdictions that fall within State\, Local\, Tribal\, and Territorial (SLTT) emergency managers\, and Public Information Officers (capacity is 500) \n\n\nThe field of alerts and warnings is rapidly evolving driven by new technology\, social media\, research on effective communication\, and rising public expectations. Emergency managers must continually update their capabilities\, processes\, and messages to keep pace.\nThe Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) is providing this collaborative technical assistance workshop to help jurisdictions improve the speed\, reach\, and effectiveness of alerts and warnings.
